Airflow Measurement

Airflow tests can be conducted on site at CRT using a BS848 test rig. The static pressure head developed and the resultant volume flow rate can be plotted to produce overall performance curves for fans and airflow systems.

We have a range of BS848 test rigs to measure flow rates from 50 to 6,500 m3/hr. This method uses either a venturi nozzle or an orifice plate arrangement and a fluid manometer to measure the air pressure.

Offsite airflow work can be conducted using an anemometer device. It is used to measure the average velocity of an air stream, which can then used to calculate the volumetric flow.
